Seven of the provinces top senior baseball teams are in Saskatoon this weekend for Baseball Sask AA Tier 1 provincials.
Coming off hosting and winning Tier 2 provincials last year, the Unity Cardinals were excited to announce earlier this summer that they were once again moving up a level in competition, this time to the highest degree.
The Cardinals will face the Marysburg Royals at 10:30 AM on Friday in the tournament's first game. The Cards will get a long rest after the opener with their second game not until Saturday at 3:30 against the Regina Trappers.
Joining the Cardinals, Royals, and Trappers in Pool "A" of the tournament are the Saskatoon Outlaws. Pool "B" has three teams, the Carlyle Cardinals, Saskatoon Hoppers, and Regina Rockies.

The Cardinals lost their last time out, currently engaged in the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League championship series with the North Battleford Beavers that is now tied 1-1, the winner-take-all Game 3 set for August 6 from the Cardinals temporary home in Wilkie.
