Three men face several drug and firearm-related charges.
Just before 3 p.m. on July 30, North District General Patrol officers responded to a gun call at a residence in the 400 block of Mountain Avenue that a man in the residence was in possession of a gun.
Three men were arrested without injury with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team. Officers located a 9mm handgun in plain view while making the arrests.
The Guns and Gangs Unit assumed the investigation.
Several hours later, after 9 p.m., a search warrant was executed on the residence. Investigators seized $56,600 of illicit drugs, including nearly 3 kilograms of methamphetamine, 379 grams of fentanyl, 126 grams of cocaine, over $55,000 in Canadian currency, a loaded 9mm handgun, scales, vacuum sealers, and other drug-related paraphernalia.
Two 34-year-old males and a 33-year-old male have been charged with a number of drug, proceeds, and firearms-related charges including:
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possessing of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
They were all detained in custody.
