Open House Today: Wellock Road apartment development proposal

Verity Developments is hosting an open house at the Nicholson Centre (701 Souris Ave) today at 4 PM to discuss their proposed apartment project on North Wellock Road, which requires rezoning and infrastructure upgrades.

The project involves rezoning land currently designated for single-family homes to allow multi-unit apartments. Construction could start this fall, pending approvals. The proposal also includes consolidating lots and upgrading sanitary services and traffic lanes.

City Council has given the proposal its first reading, and community input is encouraged as the process moves forward.
