The Weyburn Police Service responded to 86 calls for service in the week of July 20th to July 27th. This includes 15 calls related to mental health and well-being checks, resulting in three people being transported to the hospital for further care.
WPS members attended the scene of a motorcycle accident. The incident involved only one vehicle and resulted in the driver being taken to the hospital with minor injuries, however charges were still laid for driving at an unsafe speed.

They also played a key role in locating a missing person after a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) was issued by the RCMP. The elderly man was located and returned safely to his family thanks to the attentiveness of WPS members.

The early hours of July 24th saw a local retail business broken into with numerous items stolen. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
The week also saw two assault charges laid, both occurring at Weyburn residences.
