The Sask Selects Football program concluded its road trip of ID camps last month, and now the attention turns to the start of the 2025 - 2026 season. The program will have three international tournaments to look forward to this season.

The first one will be held from November 26 to 29 in Las Vegas, NV, for the 24th International Pigskin Tournament. Then the Selects will host numerous teams from around the world for their Battle on the Prairies Tournament, January 8 to 11.

"We’ve had 26 teams commit to our international tournament. Mexico is bringing four teams, and we’re welcoming teams from Connecticut, Massachusetts, California, Florida, and Texas. On the Canadian side, we’ll be joined by teams from Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan," said Coach Zeljko of the Sask Selects.

This will be the fourth time the Selects have hosted an international tournament, with this year being the first on the new Yara Centre Turf.

"It's absolutely a godsend for us. We don't have to paint lines anymore, we don't have to paint numbers, and we don't have to paint sidelines. My hat is off to those people with the City of Moose Jaw," stated Zeljko.

Then the third tournament will be a trip that no one will complain about in late February. The Score International Bowl takes place near Monterrey, Mexico, and gets underway on February 20.

Players will begin training camp with coaches at the Yara Centre on November 15, which includes the 10U, 12U, 14U, and Varsity teams. Even though the ID Camps have been completed, there is still an opportunity for young athletes to join in by visiting the Sask Selects Website.
