The Government of Saskatchewan has released its public loss reports for the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year, covering April 1 to June 30, 2025.

Saskatchewan health organizations reported one incident involving a Saskatchewan Health Authority employee in Saskatoon. The employee misused a parking pass, resulting in $577 in unpaid fees between August 2024 and February 2025. The employee was given a 10-day suspension and is reimbursing the amount owed. The Health Authority also enhanced training for parking staff and is implementing a new management system.

In the Crown sector, SaskPower reported two new incidents. An employee misused a corporate procurement card for personal purchases amounting to $7,526.25 and was terminated. Efforts to recover the funds are ongoing, and law enforcement has been notified. Another incident involved an unauthorized removal of a laptop valued at $1,100 by a former employee; this has also been referred to law enforcement.

Updates on previous incidents showed continued repayment efforts for earlier misuse of procurement and fuel cards by former SaskPower employees.
