Jets fans celebrate as captain Adam Lowry gets engaged

It was a memorable long weekend for Winnipeg Jets captain Adam Lowry.

On Tuesday, who has served as captain for the last two seasons, announced that he is engaged to his now fiancée, Laura.

Fans quickly took to social media to congratulate the couple. 

"Congratulations! Side note..This city loves you and our Jets!" said one fan. 

"Aww, congrats, you two!! We couldn’t love you more!!" said another fan.

The pair have not yet set a date. 

Lowry is expected to miss the start of the 2025-26 NHL season as he recovers from hip surgery that took place on May 27.
