The City of Moose Jaw has released its 2025 Fall & Winter Recreation Guide, offering residents a wide range of affordable membership options and activities to stay active and engaged throughout the colder months.

The guide outlines access to facilities including the Yara Centre, Kinsmen Sportsplex, and PlaMor Palace. Recreation Pass memberships provide full access to all locations and include drop-in fitness classes, public skating, swimming, and more. Monthly rates start at $38.25 for children and $64.50 for adults, with annual family passes available for $1,128.

Upcoming events detailed in the Fall & Winter Recreation Guide include the launch of the Ultimate Frisbee League at Yara Centre on Sept. 12, holiday break day camps for children aged six to 12 in December and January, and a full slate of curling bonspiels at Temple Gardens Centre. Concertgoers can also look forward to performances by Nazareth on Oct. 17 and the James Barker Band on Nov. 20.

Regular programming features a robust schedule of fitness classes at Yara Centre and Kinsmen Sportsplex, including spin, yoga, barre, pilates, and water workouts. Seniors can take advantage of specialized offerings such as Silver Strength, Chair Pilates, and 55+ cardio sessions.

Indoor skating returns to Kinsmen Arena from Oct. 14 to Mar. 15, with public skate, shinny, and 'sticks & pucks sessions' available. Helmets are mandatory for skaters under 12 especially, but other age ranges are included depending on the program, and gear rentals are offered through the Skate Vault.

Community programs include youth and adult volleyball, badminton, pickleball, and martial arts. Creative workshops such as cake decorating, activities at the Moose Jaw Public Library, and art classes at the Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery round out the offerings, with options for all ages and skill levels.

Free programs are also available, including toddler turf time, public swimming, youth activity clubs, and the Discover Moose Jaw After School Program.

Registration is open online at moosejaw.ca or via the free City of Moose Jaw mobile app. Monthly payment plans are available for annual memberships.

With something for everyone, the guide encourages residents to stay “Notoriously Active” this season.
