A student-run company in Winnipeg has used their skills to give back to sick children.

Pieces of Prairie, committed to creating original puzzles that unite people, held a few pop-up sales throughout the year at malls across the city.

Their goal is to provide enjoyable, engaging, and instructive experiences that showcase the natural beauty and cultural diversity in Manitoba.

Every puzzle they create is carefully crafted to test knowledge and pique interest while honouring the colourful tales of our prairie heritage.

"Our puzzles are designed to bring people together and promote a greater understanding of the world around us, whether you're studying history, the environment, or just searching for an enjoyable way to spend time with loved ones," said Pieces of Prairie.

Thanks to their pop-ups, the young students managed to raise $2,250, with all of the proceeds going to The Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.

"We're so grateful for and inspired by youth like Pieces of Prairie who #ContinueCaringForKids in our community," said The Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba in a post on social media.

"Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible — we couldn’t be more grateful!," said Pieces of Prairie in a post on social media.

The funds will be used to provide critical care to children and their families while in hospital.
