Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a tornado warning for areas west of Moose Jaw.
The warning was issued at 10:01 a.m. for the areas of Chaplin, Mortlach, Parkbeg, Shamrock, Kelstern, Coderre, Crestwynd, Old Wives Lake, Caronport, Riverhurst, Douglas Park, Tugaske, Central Butte, Eyebrown and Brownlee.
As of 10 a.m., Doppler radar showed a severe thunderstorm about five kilometres east of Chaplin and moving northeast at 10 km/h.
Along with the potential for a tornado, the storm could bring golf ball sized hail and straight-line wind gusts up to 90 km/h.
If threatening weather is approaching, you are asked to take cover immediately.
