Strathmore Pride prepares to repaint crosswalk through annual party

The Strathmore Pride Community is repainting their crosswalk.

The group will be celebrating its annual Strathmore Pride Party on Aug. 24 at 11 a.m.

The event will feature games, music, and free pizza, followed by a painting of the crosswalk.

One of the organizers of the Pride crosswalk, Becca McDonald, said this crosswalk is designed to encourage people who struggle with their identity and open the door for conversations.

The paint is either donated or purchased by the group, with over a dozen people coming to help paint in previous years.

This will be the third consecutive year that the crosswalk has been painted in Strathmore.
