The Moose Jaw RCMP is looking for assistance in locating a male suspected of committing fraud in Caronport.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:50 p.m. on June 10, when the victim purchased a fraudulent antivirus subscription for their family computer. An individual claiming to be an employee from a popular antivirus company contacted the victim shortly after, demanding a large sum of money from the victim.
The victim was instructed to deliver the money, in person, to another individual going by the name of 'Sam' who also claimed to represent the antivirus company.
'Sam' is described as male, approximately 5'6" tall with a medium build.
Moose Jaw RCMP continue to investigate this incident and ask anyone with information, or who recognizes ‘Sam’, contact police by dialling 310-RCMP. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
