Living Hope Community Church is inviting families to a free outdoor movie night on Friday, Aug. 22, with all concession proceeds supporting its youth ministry.
“We’re doing a movie in the parking lot,” said Pastor Adrian Alberto. “It is a free event with a kid-friendly movie. If maybe you were here last year, you might have remembered Lego One Movie. Well, we’re doing Part 2.”
The event begins at 8:30 p.m. at the church’s parking lot. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to find a spot and can choose to watch from their vehicles or bring lawn chairs.
“There’s going to be concessional at the place,” Alberto said. “If you like to snack while you watch a movie, it is going to be with the cost, and all the proceeds are going to go to the youth who are organizing this event.”
Living Hope’s youth ministry serves teens aged 12 to 17.
“We’re starting up in September — I believe it’s the 12th — where every Friday at 7:00 p.m. we come together and then we just hang out for a couple hours together,” Alberto explained.
“Essentially our youth ministry focuses on a space where people from 12 to 17 can come together and have some games together,” he said. “They learn a little bit through a message and then they spend some time doing small groups where they kind of just share about what’s going in life and learn to do life together.”
The church shares updates on its Facebook page and through the youth ministry’s Instagram account, Living Hope Youth.
