If you're looking to hit the water this weekend, you may want to check the province's Healthy Beaches Public Map before heading out.

While the most recent test results at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, Danielson Provincial Park, Palliser Regional, and Sask. Landing Provincial Park beaches show that water quality to be suitable for swimming, four of the five locations tested at Last Mountain Lake are under E. coli advisories.

These advisories include:

  • Etter's Beach with 528.1 organisms per 100ml recorded on August 8,
  • Rowan's Ravine Provincial Park Main Beach Area with 73.0 organisms per 100ml on August 11,
  • Alice Beach with 515.3 organisms per 100ml on August 8,
  • Kedleston Beach with 328.7 organisms per 100ml on August 8.

It is noted that retesting is in progress at all four of the above locations, but the results have not been made public yet.

E. coli levels at Regina Beach are slightly elevated as of the most recent testing, with 69.1 organisms per 100ml. However, the water there has been deemed suitable for use.

Microsystin levels at all tested beaches are within acceptable levels.

Stay up to date on the latest conditions by checking the Healthy Beaches Public Map.
