The Rural Municipality of Stanley is reminding residents to stay off the new Community Pathway connecting Morden and Winkler, as it remains an active construction zone.
For safety reasons, the municipality asks that the public refrain from using the trail until it is officially opened.
The Stanley Trails Association also noted that while the community is excited to use the pathway, patience is needed while construction continues.
John Loewen with the Association says, “This is absolutely still an active construction zone, and while I totally get the appeal of getting onto that lovely, paved pathway, we ask that people still stay off it for now because it’s active and we really need people to respect that it’s not open yet.”
Once complete, the pathway will provide a new active transportation link between Morden and Winkler. An official opening date has not yet been announced.
