Several Downtown streets closed for CEBL championship weekend beginning Thursday

A number of streets Downtown Winnipeg will be closed to accommodate the Canadian Elite Basketball League championship weekend celebrations.

The changes begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday, August 21 and will remain in place until noon on Monday, August 25.

The affected streets are as follows:

• Hargrave Street
  • No through traffic from St. Mary Avenue to Portage Avenue
  • One block of two-way traffic will be in place for parking lot access from St. Mary and Portage
• Carlton Street
  • No through traffic from Portage Avenue to St. Mary Avenue
  • One block of two-way traffic will be in place for parking lot access from both Portage and St. Mary
• Edmonton Street
  • No through traffic from St. Mary to Portage
  • One block of two-way traffic will be in place for parking lot access from both St. Mary and Portage
• Graham Avenue
  • Full closure between Edmonton and Donald Street

Motorists are reminded to plan alternate routes.
