The Gladstone Flying Club is inviting the community to join them for a special fundraiser this Saturday, August 23, at the Gladstone Legion. Starting at 5 p.m., attendees can enter a raffle for a chance to take two rides on a World War II training plane. The actual plane rides are scheduled for Saturday, September 6, at Gladstone Airport.

Planes, cars, and community

The September 6 event promises a full day of excitement. From 10 a.m. until dusk, Gladstone Airport will host a variety of planes for enthusiasts to admire. A car show will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., giving attendees a chance to check out some classic and modern vehicles.

Event organizer Daryl says, "I hope people can come out and enjoy an experience they haven’t had yet, they can check out the car show and eat some hot dogs while there.”

For those eager to take to the skies, plane rides are available at $30 per person or $80 for a group of three. All donations and proceeds from the day will go directly to support the Gladstone Flying Club.

BBQ and more

Visitors can also enjoy an all-day fundraiser BBQ, providing a tasty way to support the club while spending time with friends and family.

Don’t miss out on this chance to enjoy planes, cars, good food, and community fun!
