A memorial was created to honour the young man who passed away following a car crash on Highway 1.
The crash was on Monday (Aug. 18) afternoon between a semi truck and an SUV. The driver of the semi truck, a 24-year-old man from Brampton, Ont., was stuck inside as the truck caught fire.
To honour the memory of the unnamed driver, Strathmore residents created a memorial for the man at the intersection of Highway 1 and Wheatland Trail - the same place where the semi truck had caught fire.
Bouqets of flowers were seen at the memorial along with a handwritten note.
The passenger of the semi truck, and both driver and passenger of the SUV, were unharmed.
