Diamond Valley’s Dr. Lander Memorial Pool is about to get a new look.
In July, the town called on local artists to submit proposal applications to create a brand-new mural at the pool entrance.
The project has been awarded to local artist Jasmine Randle.
She has extensive painting experience, with past work with the Oilfields High School students and local businesses.
The town describes the project as more than just a painting, but as a community effort, as youth volunteers and residents will have a chance to help paint the mural.
“This inclusive approach is designed to celebrate the pool’s culture, character, and importance to Diamond Valley,” the Town of Diamond Valley said in a Facebook post.
Work on the mural will begin on Aug. 24.
