The provinces best U13 softball players will be competing against each other at the 2025 U13 District Showcase tournament this weekend in Regina.
Six regional teams along with Saskatoon and Regina round out the list of eight competing this weekend. Rivers West is the local representative, in the White Pool with Southeast (District 1), Parkland Valley (District 4), and Lakeland (District 8), while the Green Pool sees Regina (District 2), Southwest (District 3), Prairie Central (District 5), and lastly Saskatoon (District 6).
The Rivers West region is a large one, as the 2025 roster features players from Meadow Lake all the way down to Unity and Biggar:

There is one more West Central connection at the showcase, as Leader native Colby Tiringer plays with Southwest (District 3). Tiringer and company will be one of two games on this afternoon at 3:30 PM against Regina before playing two games on Saturday.
Rivers West will take the diamond during the second set of games at 5:45 PM when they line up across from Lakeland. Their second game won't be until Saturday at noon against Southeast, and then Rivers West and Parkland Valley will play the final prelim game at 5:00 PM on Saturday.
However the standings shake out, all teams will get at least one game on championship Sunday.

The games will be played from the Regina Minor Softball Park located along 9th Avenue North and Broad Street for anyone interested in attending.
This year's pools were determined based off the results from the last U13 showcase in 2023, after the Sask Summer Games postponed things last year. In 2023 Rivers West finished with silver after a loss in the final against Regina.
