Banister Gate Road closed Saturday

There’s an upcoming road closure on Banister Gate Road in Okotoks for construction.   

Banister Gate Road will be closed from Northridge Drive to Banister Drive starting tomorrow (Aug. 23).  

The work includes adding a new lift of asphalt, reconfiguring the road surface, and painting traffic lines.  

Traffic signage will be in place directing detours, but access to residences won’t be impacted.  

Traffic will be redirected to Northridge Drive and Banister Drive.  

During the work, residents in the area can expect construction crews, heavy equipment, and noise during working hours.  

Banister Gate Road is expected to reopen to normal traffic flow on Aug. 24.
