The Biggar RCMP continued a busy August with a multitude of calls over the past week.
One ongoing investigation has police seeking the public's assistance after a theft from a local tire shop.
"In the early morning hours of August 23rd, thieves drove up with a U-haul van behind Integra Tire in Biggar and stole 16 tires from the business," read the report. "Police are looking for the public’s assistance from anyone who may have witnessed the thieves load the tires."
Anyone with information can submit anonymously through Crime Stoppers, or contact the Biggar detachment at (306) 948-6600.

The other headline call of the report involved a suspicious vehicle found scoping out an elevator site near Perdue, later being chased back to the Warman detachment area on August 20.
While that activity was confirmed as suspicious, that's not always the case. Officers came across another suspicious vehicle report the same night as the tire theft, but it was quickly determined to be just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"Biggar RCMP responded to a suspicious vehicle walking around with flashlights in a vacant property near Sonningdale. It was discovered that there was a vehicle stuck and the persons with the vehicle were simply trying to get unstuck with no criminality determined to be factor."

Going back to the start of the report, on August 19 Biggar RCMP members responded to two separate calls, a dispute between neighbours and another involving youth teasing dogs. On August 20 police laid charges following a domestic assault following a complaint.
The next notable call involving police took place August 21, as members helped coordinate the safe return of an escaped foster child.
"A youth ran away from a foster home north of Biggar but was later located safe by persons who encountered the youth hitchhiking on the highway hours later."
Keeping on with the list, on August 22 the detachment received three complaints, one regarding an assault, one about uttering threats, and another being a noise complaint regarding a business. They were called to action on August 24 when a semi-truck collided with a pickup truck in the RM of Eagle Creek, as thankfully no injuries were noted and the pick-up truck responsible for the rear end was towed away.
While August 25 featured another set of complaints involving fraud, and wellness checks, police also caught word of a situation shared earlier this week to WCO.
