The Estevan Public Library is buzzing with activities this September, and there’s something for everyone! Anna Lawrence joined us to share highlights from the library’s full fall guide, available in the library, on their website, and on Facebook.
Teens can kick off the school year with Back to School Fun Night, featuring games, activities, and—yes—snacks. “It’ll just be a fun time to get hyped for going back to school,” Anna said. Families can enjoy Movie Night watching Coco on September 9, complete with french fries, and chicken strips. “It’s going to be delicious and fun for everyone,” she added.
For book lovers, the Planes of Imagination Book Fair on September 20 will showcase local authors. “The local authors of Estevan are going to take over the library,” Anna explained. “They’ll be selling and signing books, and you can learn about their creative process. We have about 13 authors signed up and ready to go.” Preceding the fair, the Pens and Prose Exchange will give authors a chance to mingle and connect. “Writing is a very lonely activity,” Anna said. “So it’s fun to have friends and people who also write.”
Later in the month, the library is hosting seniors for fun activities, including crafts at Hillview Manor on September 23. “Sometimes we read a story, sometimes we make bracelets—the seniors really enjoy it,” Anna shared. On September 26, the library will hold a Senior Social Hour, offering hot drinks, snacks, and good conversation. “You can just visit, make friends, and have some good visiting time,” Anna said.
From games to local literature and community connections, September at the Estevan Public Library promises fun for all ages.
