The Taste of Summer Community BBQs wrap up for 2025 today with a fundraiser for the SPCA Swift Current.
"We are super thankful," said SPCA Swift Current Manager Amy Dickson. "We're going to be out and about and chatting with everybody and hope to bring some dogs out to say hi to everybody as well."
You will find us set up out front of Innovation Federal Credit Union from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. $10 gets you a burger, chips and a drink to raise money for the SPCA.
"Any donation that comes to the shelter does 100% come to us," Dickson said. "We do put it towards all operations. Anything from vet care to food to just paying the light bill. It really does just come to the whole building and the facility and what we require."
A facility that remains at capacity.
"We unfortunately do have a wait list," Dickson said. "Really looking forward to people coming down and meeting and greeting and hopefully, you know, coming through with some adoptions also. Maybe after the BBQ, if you have a few minutes, swing by the shelter and see if you have a forever friend sitting and waiting for you."
