Those looking for something to do this weekend will have limitless choices with a number of events taking place today.
You can start of the day with breakfast at the Eagles as part of the Rusty Cage Fun taking place from 8am-10am. The bikes will then be heading downtown before traveling to Morse, Hodgeville, Kincaid and Cadillac. Everyone is again invited to join them for a BBQ upon their return to town around 3pm again at the Eagles.
Witnesses say late-morning housefire caused by lightning strikes
According to witnesses, lightning strikes during a late-morning thunderstorm are the cause of blaze at a residence on the south shore of Buffalo Pound Lake. The Moose Jaw Fire Department could not confirm the cause of the fire at this time
Area residents were first on the scene, and the Moose Jaw Fire Department (MJFD) responded shortly after. The Moose Jaw Fire Department says two units were called to the blaze

Rosetown RCMP respond to assault, fraud and dog bite complaints
Rosetown RCMP dealt with several incidents in the community last week, including an assault, a fraud complaint, and a dog bite.
On Aug. 16, police were called to an assault in Rosetown, and charges have been laid, with court proceedings pending. Officers also investigated a breach of peace complaint on Aug. 15 and a disturbance at a local business, though no further action was required in either case.
Southwest History: 5,000-year-old archeological site buried beneath prairies
Beneath the unassuming farmland of Southwestern Saskatchewan is an ancient human burial site among the oldest Indigenous burial sites on the prairies.
Designated as a national historic site of Canada in November of 1973, the Gray Burial Site is located roughly 15 minutes northwest of the City of Swift Current, in a hillside which stands guard over a ravine that was once a glacial outwash channel.
Foster reflects as Saskatchewan falls in Canada Summer Games lacrosse quarterfinal
All Swift Current's Kai Foster could do was watch last night as Saskatchewan fell in the quarterfinal of the Canada Summer Games lacrosse tournament.
Foster, a goaltender for Saskatchewan, was the backup in last night's game as Alberta beat them 7-5 in their quarterfinal match-up.
He went 2-0 in his starts as Saskatchewan had gone 4-0 in preliminary round play.
"First time Sask has ever done that I think," Foster said. "Just a tight group of guys. Everybody knows each other and knows where to pass the ball. Just a tight group."

Swift Current's Carter Tuplin found the podium in Newfoundland.
It was a special 400m hurdles final in St. John's as two local athletes qualified for Friday's race.
Tuplin finished 3rd in Canada with a time of 53.97, while Swift Current's Rowan Reimer was 8th at 57.55 seconds. Both did it as recent high school graduates in a U24 competition.
Rusty Cage Fun Run invites everyone out for breakfast and bikes
Grab your saddlebags and load up your bike because the Rusty Cage Fun Run returns on Saturday.
The annual ride will consist of registration and breakfast at the Eagles in Swift Current from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. At 10:30 a.m., kickstands are up and the motorbikes will be rumbling in parade down North Railway Street, up Central Avenue and past Market Square, before hitting the highway to Morse, Hodgeville, Kincaid and Cadillac.
Organizing the ride once again this year is Steve Hamm, CEO of Everything for the Rusty Cage Fun Run.
City gives a head up on 2nd Ave. NE Overpass concrete work
The City is warning residents of an upcoming project that will disrupt foot traffic on the Second Avenue Northeast Overpass.
Beginning on Tuesday, August 26, crews will be completing traffic work that will prevent pedestrians from crossing the overpass. This work is expected to be completed by Friday, August 29, weather permitting.
The work will also see lanes restricted for vehicles during certain periods of the work. During such times, traffic flow will be irregular, and signage will be posted.
Gull Lake ends boil water advisory
The east half of Gull Lake is once again able to use their tap water safely.
The boil water advisory that had been in place from Price Avenue and the Hitching Post Restaurant has been lifted after a week.
The advisory was in place while crews upgraded and replaced valves on the Towns water line system.
The Town of Gull Lake thanked residents for their patience while the work was completed.
Local musician fiddling around on the national stage
A southwest musician is once again taking his talents to the national stage.
Violinist and fiddler Austin Castle will be performing at this year's Canadian Grandmasters Open Fiddle Competition in Kamloops, BC.
Castle has been performing for many years and hopes to place highly in this year's event.
"Well, the goal is always to just make it through," he said. "Actually, it would be great to make the top ten, no question."
