Curling season is now just days away.

Registration opens on Wednesday, Sept. 10, and their annual general meeting is less than a week away.

The president of the club, Kate Renz, is really looking forward to getting back on the ice.

"We're having our AGM on Tuesday, the 16th of Sept., 7 p.m. in the Ice House Lounge at the curling club. We've revamped the whole lounge area so it's nice, it's upstairs at 7 o'clock, and anyone is welcome."

The club is also bringing back 'The Great Scot' on Sept. 20th and 21st, and Renz explains what it's about.

"It's the combination of curling, cribbage and golf on the two days. Lots of fun, we have a live band on Saturday night, and we have a golf scramble on Sunday with a banquet to follow. And we are pumped!"

They still have room for just three more teams of four, so contact them as soon as possible if you're interested in taking part.
