STARS, the non-profit air ambulance organization, and Bunge, a leading global agribusiness company, unveiled the 2026 STARS calendar, marking more than three decades of partnership and commitment to providing critical care across rural and remote communities.
Now in its 34th year, the STARS calendar has become a powerful symbol of community connection and a key fundraising initiative. Each edition helps raise essential funds to ensure emergency medical services remain accessible to those who need them most. The 2026 calendar, now available for purchase, continues this tradition with the support of Bunge, the presenting print sponsor.
This year’s edition features compelling stories from three Very Important Patients (VIPs), five members of the STARS crew, including Orion the dog, and showcases three helicopters and a vivid scene of community engagement. Through striking photography and storytelling, the calendar highlights themes of innovation, resilience, and the deep ties between STARS and the people they serve.
“The STARS calendar is a reflection of our mission in motion. Behind every image is a patient, a crew member, a moment that mattered,” said Dr. John Froh, CEO of STARS. “We’re grateful for Bunge’s continued partnership and generous sponsorship, which has made this annual tradition possible. Their commitment speaks to a shared dedication to ensuring life-saving care is accessible to communities across Western Canada.”
As the calendar’s presenting sponsor, Bunge has once again covered all printing costs. The company’s total contributions to STARS now exceed $2.9 million.
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with STARS and support their life-saving work across our communities in Western Canada,” said Kyle Jeworski, Head of Canada, Bunge. “Our longstanding relationship helps ensure that those who need emergency medical services in rural and remote areas can access them in a safe and timely manner, including our employees, our customers, and their families.”
The 2026 calendar also includes a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Gregory Powell, STARS’ founder and a pioneer in emergency medical care, who passed away in April 2025. His legacy of innovation and service is woven throughout the pages of this year’s edition.
Calendars are available for purchase online at starscalendar.ca, with all proceeds going directly to support STARS’ operations.
