A serious crash has shut down the westbound lanes of the North Perimeter Highway at Highway 59, also known as Lagimodiere Boulevard.
Manitoba Infrastructure confirmed the closure in an email Tuesday morning, citing a serious motor vehicle collision as the cause.
The Winnipeg Police Service says officers are on scene investigating and are asking drivers to avoid the area.
In a post on X, police said the lanes are expected to be closed for approximately three hours. Motorists are urged to use alternate routes in the meantime.
No details have been released yet about injuries or how many vehicles were involved.
