Rita Martha (née Hilbert) Hueser
September 9, 1943 - September 7, 2025

Rita Martha (née Hilbert) Hueser passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 7, 2025, at Humboldt District Hospital in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. Born on September 9, 1943, to George and Isabelle Hilbert (née Classen), Rita grew up with a strong sense of community and care. She attended Laurier School through Grade 8, after which she helped local families by baby-sitting and taking on odd jobs. Rita later pursued her passion for hairstyling, training at Marvel Beauty School in Saskatoon, SK—a career she lovingly maintained throughout her years on the farm. On November 13, 1965, Rita married Isadore Hueser in Annaheim, SK. Together, they built a life rooted in love and hard work. Over the next twelve years, they welcomed four children and raised them on a vibrant farm filled with chickens, cows, pigs, flourishing gardens, and a beautifully kept yard. Rita’s life was rich with simple joys: fishing trips with loved ones, spirited card games, volunteering at church, and helping with bingo nights and church picnics. Her devotion extended beyond her home and family—Rita was a proud and active member of the St. Bernard’s Ladies Aid Committee, where her generosity and spirit touched many lives and helped strengthen the bonds of her community. After Isadore’s passing in 2001, Rita embraced a new chapter in Humboldt, taking on various jobs—her first experiences working off the farm. In retirement, she found delight in casino outings and continued to live independently until 2019, when she moved to assisted living at Birch Manor in Bethany Pioneer Village. In 2023, she transitioned to long-term care at Aspen Manor, where she remained surrounded by compassion and comfort. Rita’s warmth, resilience, and devotion to family and faith will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Rita will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by: daughter, Michelle (Leander) Pratchler, their children – Heather and Kelsey (Justin); daughter, Corine (Thomas) Reinhardt; daughter, Lynell (Brian) Klane, her children, Shawn (Shaunna), Rebecca (Mason), Dornan, and Jesse; son, Lonny (Carla) Hueser, their son – Mason; brothers: Frank (Jean) Hilbert, Vincent (Shirley) Hilbert; sister, Charlotte Semchuk; sister-in-law, Darlene Hueser; and many other extended family on both the Hilbert and Hueser families. She was predeceased by: husband, Isadore Hueser (2001); parents, George and Isabelle Hilbert; parents-in-law, Leo and Katherine Hueser; brother-in-law, Peter Semchuk; and many other in-laws of the Hueser Family. A Funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. The service was celebrated by Father Colin Roy.
