The Town of Diamond Valley is calling on residents of all artistic abilities to help paint the new work of art at the Dr. Lander Memorial Swimming Pool.

On Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., residents can join artist Jasmine “Jazz” Randle in painting a trout, which will be included in the new community mural.

“The mural features the bull trout. Alberta’s provincial fish, adopted 30 years ago, is a threatened species that spawns this time of year, symbolizing resilience and natural heritage,” the Town of Diamond Valley said in a Facebook post.

The Alberta Culture Days event coincides with the Most Beautiful Art Tour in Alberta and the Sheep Creek Arts Council celebrations at the Sheep River Library.

All ages are welcome at the event.

“Come leave your mark on this vibrant community project,” the post said.
