A collision late Wednesday evening has left almost 2,000 people in Southdale without power.
The crash broke a hydro pole in half, and crews have been working around the clock to get the pole fixed and power up and running.
As a result of the power outage, several traffic signals along St. Mary's Road from Fermor to Abinoji Mikanah are not working. Motorists are encouraged to treat those intersections as all-way stops and proceed with caution.
Winnipeg - Lavalee: late last night a vehicle hit a pole. We’ve been working overnight to replace it, but there’s still more work to do. We’re hoping to have power back on around 10:30 this morning. #mboutage pic.twitter.com/MRGVyIWP2N
