Rocky View County (RVC) is currently accepting applications for its Community Recreation Funding Grant.
This grant offers funding to assist non-profit community organizations providing recreational services to county residents.
According to RVC, the funding can be used for general operating funding and capital costs:
- Operational Funding
- The ongoing costs of running a facility or program, such as program costs and utilities.
- Capital Funding
- Includes expenditures creating future benefits or a fixed asset such as a trailer, building, furnace, or roof; including both interior and exterior upgrades to buildings and land.
The deadline for applications to receive operational funding is October 1.
Council did not approve the Kineticor Area Structure Plan, Bylaw C-8671-2025, to facilitate the development of a Data Centre Campus with accompanying stormwater management facilities, the county said in a summary of council decisions posted online.
The county said council also did not approve Bylaw C-8672-2025, which sought to redesignate land from Agriculture – General to primarily Special, Data Centre District Overlay B (SDAT-B), with portions to be redesignated to Special, Public Service (S-PUB) and Special, Parks and Recreation (S-PRK) districts.
