The Wilkie Museum is winding down its 2025 tourism season after a busy summer of fundraising, community events, and facility upgrades.

The year began with the Hometown Raffle, with tickets sold at local businesses and during the Museum Car Show and Canada Day celebrations. The events and raffle raised nearly $6,000, which was immediately invested in improvements to the museum.

Daniel Trembley was hired to repaint the School House and Icehouse and refurbish the walkways to the R.M. Building and School House. The museum also hired two summer students, Lilly and Haylee, to assist with cleaning, tours, painting, and exhibit preparation.

The museum held its annual movie night at the end of August, screening A Minecraft Movie and the 1975 comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Despite the presence of mosquitoes, the evening was well received by attendees.

Fundraising efforts for the year are not yet complete. Upcoming events include the December pancake breakfast and the Saskatchewan Christmas Raffle, with tickets and posters set to appear throughout October, November, and December.
