High River's Outdoor Rink Project is well underway.
Crews began pouring the new cement slab last Thursday, (Sept. 11).
The $750,000 project to replace the old rink at McLaughlin Meadows began in August.
The new outdoor rink will feature an upgraded ice surface, with high-quality materials for smooth and reliable skating, advanced safety features, and a multi-purpose design for ball hockey and basketball in the warmer months.

The project is being completed using sustainable practices to reduce impacts to the environment.
“This new rink will be a fantastic addition to our community, offering year-round recreation and fun for residents of all ages,” the Town of High River said.
The town thanks residents for their patience and understanding while the community project comes to life.
