After a Labour Day Classic/Banjo Bowl sweep of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the 10-2 Saskatchewan Roughriders are back home on Saturday against 5-7 Montreal seeking their third straight win.

The Roughriders stumbled out of the gates last week on the road in Winnipeg but used a second half full of clutch plays to earn a 21-13 win over their prairie rivals. Despite his 2025 struggles that included a missed extra point on Saturday, Riders' kicker Brett Lauther knocked in five field goals to drive the Roughriders to victory.

Saskatchewan will have to do their best not to overlook this week's opponents, with the Alouettes currently on a five-game losing streak that started back on August 2 with a 34-6 defeat against the Roughriders. Despite their struggles the Alouettes are still second place in the East and will have reinforcements coming back from injury, including at quarterback ahead of the late season push.

Saskatchewan could gain some more ground in the standings with the Calgary Stampeders on a bye this week. A win would give the Riders a 6-point cushion over the Stamps going into their own bye next week.

The matchup against Montreal kicks off on Saturday at 5:00, the final game of Week 15 after Winnipeg visits Hamilton and BC hosts Ottawa for Friday night football, Toronto hosting Edmonton on Saturday afternoon ahead of the evening kickoff in Regina.
