Strathmore residents are in for a busy Saturday (Sept. 13) as fall festivities kick off across town. 

Saturday's schedule is packed with outdoor activities, garage sales, and community gatherings that offer something for everyone. 

Here's a look at what's scheduled: 

Wheatland County Food Bank Food Drive

The Wheatland County Food Bank's Community Food Drive takes place on Saturday. 

Residents participating in the drive are asked to place their donations on their front porch steps by 8 a.m. 

Residents can also drop off food bank donations at the Strathmore Municipal Building from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Acceptable items include canned goods, flour, baby food, diapers, toiletries, and oil.

Parade of Garage Sales

Strathmore's Parade of Garage Sales, organized by Debbie Mitzner and Nicole Denee, runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Garages across town will be open their doors for shoppers and bargain hunters.

Strathmore Show and Shine

Beverly's Home-Style Cooking is hosting a Show and Shine motorcycle rally at the Strathmore Legion. 

The event begins at 11 a.m., and promises a day of food, bikes, and community connection. 

The restaurant will be offering special deals for attendees. 

Strathmore Full Gospel's Fall Festival

Strathmore Full Gospel Church is hosting its annual Fall Festival. 

The community gathering takes place at Kinsmen Park, from noon to 3 p.m. 

Families are welcome to enjoy bouncy castles, face painting, hamburgers, popcorn, and live music. 

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

Siksika Nation Carnival and BBQ

Siksika White Buffalo Family Resource Network is hosting a barbecue and carnival community gathering. 

Located at Admin Park, Siksika Nation, from 1 to 4 p.m., the event features bouncy castles, face painting, food, a dunk tank, photobooth, and door prize giveaways. 

As the fall season begins, Strathmore's residents are taking time to connect, enjoy the weather, and celebrate their communities.
