Veterans and civilians across Canada will once again join forces to raise funds for military charities during the eighth annual Canadian Walk for Veterans, with Saskatchewan’s event taking place at Kinsmen Park in Prince Albert on Sept. 21.

The nationwide initiative, organized by the True Patriot Love Foundation in partnership with River Valley Resilience Retreat, includes participants in 23 Canadian cities as well as London, England. Proceeds from the 2025 Walk will support local and national organizations providing mental health programs, recovery and rehabilitation services, and other vital support for Canadian Veterans, service members, and their families.

This year’s theme, “Honouring the Past; Supporting the Journey,” commemorates milestone anniversaries, including the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the 75th anniversary of Canadian Forces entering the Korean War.

“While four in 10 Veterans are seniors, nearly a third are in the working-age bracket of 25 to 54. This Walk is a chance to recognize the contributions of all generations of Canadian Veterans,” the foundation said in a statement.

Participants who cannot attend an in-person Walk can register for a Virtual Walk and take part at their convenience. All registered participants will receive a 2025 Canadian Walk for Veterans challenge coin, created by Veteran-owned Sharkz Coins in Esquimalt, B.C., symbolizing the transition from military to civilian life.
