On Sept. 11, 2025, Grande Prairie RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), observed a female commit a traffic offence on an electric scooter and subsequently enter a vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and the female immediately jumped out of the vehicle. Unstamped cigarettes were observed on her person, and she was placed under arrest. A search incidental to arrest lead to the seizure of drugs and drug paraphernalia consistent with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
As a result of the search, the following items were seized:
- Oxycontin;
- 27g of meth;
- 22g of crack/cocaine;
- Digital scale;
- Canadian currency; and
- Dog spray.
As a result of the investigation, Jaime Brosseau (49), a resident of Grande Prairie, was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of proceeds of crime. Brosseau was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. She is to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie on Oct. 6, 2025.
