Her parents were Agnes Fisher and the late Gabriel Fobister Sr.
Bridgette is survived by her spouse Paul Petiquan and daughters Justine Petiquan, Jada Fobister and Macy Petiquan, Sister Becky Fobister, Barry Assin, Randy Fobister (Vicky), Helen Pahpasay (David), Elaine White (Paul), Gabriel Fobister (Sherry). Nieces and nephews Ashley, Amy and Lisa Molina, Reggie, Bellamina Payash, Kimiwan Assin, Shakira Keewatin, Judith Fobister, Michael Assin, Jason Assin, Wendell Fobister, Marc Fobister, Tessa, Suekipon Pahpasay, Shania and Kendaaz White, Dustin Ackabee, Gabrice Fobister, Brooke Fobister, Nolan Ackabee, Matt Fobister and Emmette Fobister and great nieces and nephews Shamaiya, Makalya, Neziyah, Jayciahna, Malaysia, Maelyn, Thea, Cali, Ava, Bryson, Cienna, Joy, Dante, Chloe, Deja, Adam Jr.Tre, Atticus, Lazarus, Zylus and Markus. Bridgette is survived by her uncle and aunts William (Annette) Fobister, John (Kathy) Fobister, Josephine Fobister, Susan Fobister, Lucy Fobister, Ralph (Barbara) Fobister, Roger (Cathy) Fobister, Geraldine (Owen) Fobister, Gloria (Gary) Fobister, Evelyn Pahpasay, Margaret Keewatin, Robert (Annette) Williamson, Roberta Keesick, Judy (Kukra) Dasilva, Jason (Anita) Kejick, Lorraine (Freddie) Land, Wayne (Lillian) Land, Ivan Land, Gloria, Brenda, Glen, Tammy and Nathaniel Kejick, Eddie (Jane) and Eric Keewatin and their families. She will be missed by her cousins Joe B. Bridgette contributed her time and enjoyed working with her colleagues with the Grassy Narrows Mercury Team the past few years. She even took up taking an 8-week trapping course taught by Andrew Keewatin aka (Shoon) a few years back. Bridgette absolutely loved fishing, enjoying nature, playing bingo, casino, and travelling. Her greatest pride was having her three beautiful daughters and spending time with them. Bridgette had such a zest for life and will truly be missed by so many friends too many to mention. Special thanks go out to the Kenora Lake of the Woods District Hospital 3rd East doctors, nurses, ambulance attendants, lab technicians and janitorial staff for the excellent health care. Thanks to Paul Petiquan, Cindy Fobister, Gennita Kejick and Lorraine Land who stayed by Bridgette's side when she needed support and company. Thanks also to Uncle Bill Fobister, Debby Ropp, Pastor Frank, Linda Redsky and Paul Lee for spiritual support.

Thanks to the Band Administration and the Child Advocacy Program for providing financial assistance during this very difficult time. Thanks to Robert Williamson and Jason Fobister for helping with the funeral arrangements. Many thanks to Grassy Narrows nurses, Lori Marshall and Lorraine Johnson for providing nursing care and assistance for Bridgette. Wake will begin Wednesday December 29, 2021 at 4:00pm at Agnes Fisher’s building and Funeral service will be Friday, December 31, 2021 officiated by uncle Bill Fobister Sr. at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at the Fobister Island. “Ba ma mina wa ga ga wabi mi go. Wiinge gi sha wen ni mi goo”
