As of January 6, 2022 the City of Grande Prairie has 184 active cases of COVID-19, and the County of Grande Prairie has 95 cases.

Cases of COVID-19 across the rest of the province sit at 43,414 active cases. 

Hospitalizations are currently at 504, and a total of 64 Albertans are in intensive care receiving treatment. 

Vaccination data are up-to-date as of end of day January 6, 2022

  • 7,825,022 doses administered
  • 89.5% of Albertans 12+ with at least 1 dose
  • 85.4% of Albertans 12+ fully vaccinated

In Grande Prairie 70.9% of people eligible are fully vaccinated, and 75% of residents have received at least one dose. In the County of Grande Prairie (West) 64.7% have received both shots, with 68.2% partially vaccinated. And in the County of Grande Prairie (Central & East) 69.8% have received both shots, with 73.4% partially vaccinated.
