The latest COVID-19 numbers are in.
Currently, 1,528 Albertans are in hospital with the virus, including 124 in intensive care.
Thirty-five deaths were reported over the weekend, bringing the total to 3,776 since the start of the pandemic.

Vaccinations
The total per cent of the population over five immunized with two doses as of Monday:
- Fort Saskatchewan: 81.7 per cent
- Sherwood Park: 87.1 per cent
- Strathcona County: 81.3 per cent
- Sturgeon County West (including Morinville): 77.2 per cent
- Sturgeon County East: 75.1 per cent
- Lamont County: 72.5 per cent
A total of 8.42-million doses of the vaccine have been administered in Alberta. 90 per cent of the 12+ population has received at least one dose, while 86.4 per cent have received two.
Young Albertans aged 12-17 with immunocompromising and underlying health conditions will be eligible for a booster shot on Feb. 15. Eligible conditions include:
- A missing spleen or a spleen that is no longer working
- Sickle cell disease or thalassemia
- Chronic heart disease and vascular disease
- Chronic liver disease
- Chronic neurological disease
- Chronic respiratory diseases
- Diabetes needing insulin or other anti-diabetic medication to control
- Pregnancy
- Severe mental illness or substance use disorder
- Severe obesity
- Severe or profound learning disabilities or severe developmental delay
Additionally, First Nations, Metis, and Inuit youth aged 12-17 will also be eligible for a third dose.
