It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loved one Jaymen Patrick Robert Hunter at the Sudbury Regional Hospital on February 10,2022 at the age of 27. He will be greatly missed.

Jaymen is predeceased by his mom Christa Hunter, his brother's Trent Hunter and Michael Scott. Great grandparents Jimmy Smith, Robert and Noella Kent, Grandma's Marie Hunter, and Marina Smith, and Richard Seymour.

Jaymen is survived by his loving wife Shaylene Sinclair of 12 years, and his four beautiful children Heaven-Leigh Hunter , Jaymen Hunter Jr, Aleira Hunter-Sinclair, and Serayah Hunter-Sinclair. His siblings Martin Carpenter Jr, Taytum Hunter, Ronin Carpenter, Selena Scott, Rexetta Scott, Rexella Scott, Amanda Scott, Eva Cameron, and Nitorian Scott. His Kookum Eliza Scott, Grandma Rosemary Langan. His Uncle Patrick Kent (Lise) , Aunties Rachel Hunter (Justin), Shannon (Evan) Monkman, and Krystal Kejick. Too many nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and friends to mention that loved him dearly.

Jaymen was born in Kenora on July 2, 1994 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital. He was raised in Kenora, Ontario. He met the love of his life, his wife Shaylene Sinclair. They fell in love when they were just teenagers and have been inseparable since then. Shaylene & Jaymen started their journey of life together and created a family of whom he loved, cherished and was very proud of. He had shared so much love and affection towards His wife and children , he loved them unconditionally they were his entire world he would do anything for them. He got his children whatever they wanted and needed, he was the best Dad & husband to his family. Not only was Jaymen a great dad, and a loving husband but he was the greatest older brother to his siblings who he loved so dearly and often took care of, he would often help guide his siblings throughout life, and was very proud of each of his siblings. he enjoyed spending time chilling and being around his siblings when he could he enjoyed being that older brother they needed him to be. Jaymen looked up to all his aunties and uncle, they all had a part in him becoming the man he grew up to be with the guidance of his mother and grandmothers. He was truly adored by his aunts and uncle they were all so proud of the man he became. They enjoyed every loving moment spent with Jaymen, he was truly a strong kind man that had so much love for his family that in the end is what he kept him fighting.

Jaymen loved spending his time with his family and friends, he loved cooking that even when he was a child, he wanted to be a chef, he had a good sense of humor and liked joking around he would make everyone laugh that was around or near him. He also enjoyed going for cruises, he would enjoy the drive and company he had with him. He also loved music. Jaymen was a very selfless, humble man and would often help those that needed him. He was very caring and had a big heart for everyone around him will truly be missed.

Thanks to his uncle Patrick Kent for providing support for Jaymen and family. We would like to extend our gratitude to the Thunder Bay and Sudbury Hospitals. The doctors and nurses who continuously and closely cared for our Jaymen. We are sincerely appreciative and thankful for all those that prayed for Jaymen to keep fighting in his time of need. They have truly gotten him through the toughest times in his fight.

Miigwetch for Ron Mandamin for gifting Jaymen his spirit name and the ceremony that was done for Jaymen. All those who had sent a donation to help Shaylene travel to Jaymen his aunt Rachel for traveling along with Shaylene and his uncle Patrick for being a big support for Jaymen.

A wake will be held Thursday, February 17th, 2022 starting at 4:00 pm until Friday, February 18th, 2022. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 with a Traditional service starting at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at the Kenora cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Washagamis Bay community hall.

The pallbearers will be Martin Carpenter Jr, Ronin Carpenter, Tyce Wesley, Patrick Kent, Murray Kelly and Gilligan Halverson.
