A death investigation has been launched by the Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) following a medical distress call.
On Thursday (March 17, 2022), OPP officers were dispatched to a residence on Dingwall Parkway in Dryden where a person was in medical distress.
Following the arrival, officers found an unconscious subject being attended to by members of the KDSB Northwest Emergency Services.
The subject was transported to Dryden Regional Health Center and despite life-saving efforts, the individual was pronounced deceased.
An investigation is ongoing, involving the Dryden OPP, OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS), North West Region Crime Unit, and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario.
A post-mortem was scheduled to be conducted on Thursday (March 17, 2022) to help determine the cause of death.
There are no concerns for public safety at this time.
