The St. Thomas Aquinas Girls hockey team dominated the Beaver Brae Broncos in their most recent match up. Goal scorers were Sophie Muise with 2, Molly Hendy, Reese Roy, Shai VanWelleghem and Isabella Reynard. The Saints came up top 7-1, while the Saints Boys fell 2-0 to the Broncos.
The Dryden GM Ice Dogs host the Red Lake Miners tonight at the Dog Pound. Dryden is coming off a split series against Thunder Bay over the weekend. They'll have tonight's game and then a quick trip to visit the Lumberjacks this weekend before playoffs, where they will play a best-of-five serie against the Fort Frances Lakers.
Connor Hellebuyck stopped 42 shots to collect his fourth shutout of the season as the Winnipeg Jets blanked the struggling Vegas Golden Knights 4-zip. Nikolaj Ehlers and Mark Scheifele each had a goal and an assist for Winnipeg, while Pierre-Luc Dubois and Neal Pionk also scored. Vegas saw its road losing skid stretch to seven games, including back-to-back shutouts.

Twenty-eight seconds proved to be the undoing of the Calgary Flames last night. The Flames gave up goals midway through the third period and the San Jose Sharks clinched a 4-3 comeback win. This was Calgary's second loss at home in regulation time in their last 19 games.
Kerri Einarson and Team Canada are looking for their third straight win today as they take on Sweden at the women's world curling championship. The Canadians are 4-and-2 after a big 10-4 win over Japan yesterday. Sweden sits third in the standings with a 6-and-1 record.
