The Dryden Rotary Charity Foundation is giving over $80,000 in funding back to NWO. 

The Dryden Rotary Charity Foundation, operated by the Rotary Club of Dryden and assisted by the Rotary Club of Sioux Lookout, recently announced that they will be giving $81,670 in funds back to Northwestern Ontario (NWO) through applications that were approved under the youth, poverty, health, and community mandates. 

In a released statement, the Charity Foundation thanked the communities of NWO as the funds distributed are made possible by community efforts and through the countless volunteer hours of Rotary members.

The funds announced will be distributed as follows,  

  • DHS – Scholarships = $6,000 

  • Red Lake HS – Scholarships = $3,000 

  • Ignace HS – Scholarships = $2,000 

  • Points North Family Health – Portable Bladder Scanner = $18,075 

  • MUNA (Model United Nations Assembly) = $225 

  • Adventures in Citizenship = $790 

  • South Dryden Community Garden = $6,250 

  • Dryden Entertainment Series = $2,000 

  • Ghost Lake Trail Alliance – Snow Dog Machine and 2 Groomers = $8,330 

  • Skating Club Registrations – 3rd installment of 4 = $25,000 

  • Dryden Food Bank = $10,000
