The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) has installed a new COVID-19 screening tool at all entrances to the facility.
Starting Monday, March 28, 2022, patients, visitors, and employees of SLMHC will be required to screen, or show proof of online screening, at automated wellness screening stations when arriving at the facility.
In an effort to streamline the process, visitors and patients can complete the screening online prior to arriving at SLMHC. This will provide a barcode that can be scanned at the wellness screening stations to provide proof of online screening, granting access to the facility.
“The wellness screening stations will help maintain safety practices and prioritize the health and safety of everyone at our facility,” says Heather Lee, President, and CEO of SLMHC.
Daily screening, adherence to personal protective equipment standards, and the mandatory vaccination policy in place for staff, physicians, and visitors remain in place at SLMHC.
Leadership at SLMHC stresses that the vaccination policy for visitors/essential care partners does not apply to patients seeking care.
Additionally, the Ambulatory Care entrance will reopen on Monday, March 28, 2022.
