Those in need in Kenora have a few more supports available to them to get through this week’s major snowstorm, with the forecast calling for another 20 centimetres of snow overnight.
Kenora Moving Forward Space Lead, Elauna Boutwell, says KMF’s CommUNITY Space at the Jubilee Church on 1st Avenue will be staying open overnight tonight and tomorrow, to offer emergency shelter to those in need in the Kenora area.
Elsewhere, Kenora’s Fellowship Centre is open between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., and is staying open a bit later until 6 p.m. today. The emergency shelter at Knox United opens each night at 8:30 p.m., and the Morningstar Detox Centre is open 24/7 for those dealing with mental health and addiction concerns.
Kenora Moving Forward’s CommUNITY Space is open between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. seven days a week.
