Helen Rose Proulx
October 24, 1970 – June 14, 2022
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Helen Rose Proulx (nee Keyes, Keewatin), she began her spiritual journey on June 14, 2022 at 8:45 am at the age of 50 years from heart disease at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre with her husband Robert Jack (Bobbage) by her side.
Helen was predeceased by her mother Florence Keewatin, her brother TC Keesick, grandparents George Keewatin and Margaret Fisher, adoptive father Gordon Keyes and aunt Irene Taypaywaykejick.
She is survived by her husband Robert Jack (Bobbage), father Albert Keesick Sr., son Timothy Proulx, grandchildren Carson, Liam, Caleb, Paisley and baby Atticus. She also leaves behind her sisters Jennifer Keyes, Joann Keewatin, Dwan Blackhawk, Jr., Delaney Keesick, Joanathan, Armand Tagpapwaylajick, Delaney Keesick, Godmother Brenda Kokokopenace Sr., as well as her adoptive mother Florence Keyes, adoptive siblings Gerry, Brian and Diane Keyes and many nieces, nephews and relatives to numerous too mention.
Helen’s greatest passion was working with and guiding children, she followed that passion and was a Day Teacher at Migizi Wazason, an Early Childhood Educator, a Foster parent in Grassy Narrows, a Daycare Worker, a member of the First Response team and a First Responder at Grassy Narrows.
A wake service for Helen will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Kenora, Ontario. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre.
