The Moose Jaw Police Service has provided an update on the paratransit passenger that passed away on Monday.
The MJPS says, through investigation, it was determined the person was injured while being unloaded from a City of Moose Jaw Paratransit bus. The person has succumbed to their injuries. At this time the Moose Jaw Police Service is aiding the Coroner's Office and will continue to provide assistance in determining the nature of this incident.

At approximately 12:20 pm on Monday, a paratransit user passed away in an incident involving the Moose Jaw City Paratransit bus.
According to the city, an investigation is underway, and the paratransit bus involved in the incident has been removed from operation temporarily.
The city will notify customers if service will be affected.
“The City of Moose Jaw sends our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of our customer,” said Jim Puffalt, City Manager. “We commend Medavie Health Services West – Moose Jaw, Moose Jaw Fire Department, staff at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital and the Moose Jaw Police Service for their quick response to the scene. This is a difficult time for all involved, and the City awaits the results of the investigation.”
