Machin releases list of certified candidates for municipal election

The Municipality of Machin has released the list of certified candidates what will vie for a seat in office in the upcoming election. 

Current Mayor Gord Griffiths has put his name into the hat once again as he seeks re-election. Joining him in the race is current councillor and former mayor Garry Parkes. 

Six people are in the running for one of four seats offered on council. Councillors Dennis Peterson and Ray Pilkey are looking for re-election. Also on the list is Tony Blair, Bonnie Leutschaft, Kennedy Maidment and Greg Swanson. Ronald Kujansuu has not put his name forth. 

Roger Griffiths has been acclaimed to the English Public School Board. 

The municipal election will take place October 24, 2022.
